Anyone who has children knows this: If you are not careful for just one second, they make nonsense or put themselves in danger in the household. Although Home Connect does not do the parenting for us, it helps us to ensure the safety of the whole family and simplifies chores around the home.

The children love it when we bake together after school. We all know it's much more fun as a game. That's why Alexa is the perfect partner to Home Connect. The children can tell the Home Connect oven to pre-heat using a voice command. For example, while they are busy using their hands to knead the dough.

Our son may only be little, but he's an expert at getting his clothes in a big mess. Whether it's juice or food, he always manages to get a bit of something down his clothes. Our Home Connect washing machine is well-prepared for these situations. Even if the washing machine is already running I can stop it with Home Connect, add my son's dirty things and then resume the washing cycle.
My children love biscuits. More so if they've baked them themselves. Unfortunately, they also think their cuddly toys in the playroom shouldn't have to miss out. So the playroom floor is often covered in crumbs. However it's no problem for my Home Connect robot vacuum cleaner: Thanks to "room mapping", it knows every room in our home. Using the Home Connect app connected to Alexa, I tell it to just vacuum the playroom, which it does without fail every time.

When my husband comes home from work, we set 15 minutes aside just for the two of us. We talk about the day and plan outings and other upcoming events. Sometimes our children get into mischief when we're doing that. My three-year-old daughter Maria loves to play with the controls on the oven. Luckily we have Home Connect. It means we can child-proof our Smart Home even from the sofa and monitor the status of home appliances.
Holidays are the best time of year. If only you didn't need to prepare for them in advance. With two children to look after and having to think of everything, something is bound to be forgotten in the heat of the moment. So sometimes we've barely got going and suddenly I start worrying: Have we turned off the hob and the oven? Did we turn the lights off? Are all the windows closed? I am then grateful to have Home Connect. Using the app, I can check whether the hob and oven are switched off. I can control the robot vacuum cleaner remotely and use the built-in camera to check through the whole house again. Then if everything is okay, I can finally switch to holiday mode.
