When young people get their first real job, many of them fulfill a long-desired dream: they stop cleaning their dishes by hand and buy a dishwasher. And at the latest when they start a family, the dishwasher becomes an essential kitchen appliance and gets used on a daily basis. But something that gets used so often also needs to be cleaned properly. By doing so, the dishwasher will make your tableware, your cutlery and your glasses sparkling clean for many years to come. For a proper cleaning of the dishwasher you need two types of cleaning agents: a normal cleaning agent that you use on a regular basis and a special cleaning agent that you only need for deep cleaning.
The perfect agent for the basic cleaning
When you use your dishwasher on a daily basis, stubborn fats, oils or limescale will build up inside the appliance. And when you are in a rush, you sometimes put dishes that still have a lot of food residue on them inside the dishwasher. That is how foul smells will develop. Our machine care liquid takes care of all that. The cleaning agent comes in a pre-dosed 250 ml bottle, and the cleaning process is as easy as it gets:
After you have removed the protective film from the cap, you just need to turn the bottle upside and securely place it in the cutlery basket of the empty dishwasher. In dishwashers with an cutlery tray you have to attach the bottle upside down at the lower rack of the empty dishwasher with an adhesive strip. Then you choose either a special maintenance programme or any washing programme with a water temperature of at least 65°C. Even after only one run you will find that the inside of your dishwasher is sparkling and smelling pleasant again. If you want to clean your dishwasher even more thoroughly and prevent unpleasant smells and mold, put a small amount of the machine care liquid on a cloth and rub the door seal and door frame. If there is a lot of grease, let the solution act for a short time and rub again. We recommend wearing protective gloves.
The perfect agent for the thorough cleaning
Every 4 to 6 months you should thoroughly clean your dishwasher with a special cleaning powder. This ensures that not only the inside of the dishwasher gets properly cleaned, but also the tubes and the water pump – in order to maximise the lifetime and the cleaning capacity. Applying the powder could not be easier: When the dishwasher is empty, you start a programme with a water temperature of at least 65°C. After roughly 30 minutes you put the cleaning powder into the cutlery basket and wait until the programme is completed. Now your dishwasher is sanitised.
The perfect agent against hard water
Everybody who lives in an area with hard water is familiar with the following issue: after a while, the insides of electric kettles, coffee machines and pots are often coated with white limescale. But what you can see is only the tip of the iceberg: tubes and other inner parts of household appliances that have direct contact with water are also exposed to lime. In order to effectively protect your dishwasher from limescale, we have developed a specific limescale remover. For an impactful descaling you need to start the hottest programme of your dishwasher. After 30 minutes you add the limescale remover and wait until the completion of the programme. The limescale will be removed efficiently. Removing limescale on a regular basis is not only cost-efficient, it will also improve your environmental footprint: when they are free of limescale, the heating elements of your dishwasher will need less electricity to reach the desired temperature.
