How Home Connect works with a smart dryer
Smart dryers with the Home Connect function from Bosch, Siemens, Gaggenau, and NEFF help you to select the right programme for your washing and ensure a perfect result. You simply send the dryer information on the properties of your textiles and your drying requirements using the Home Connect app.
Sensors constantly measure the temperature and moisture of the textiles during the drying process. The dryer then dries your washing really gently and precisely to the required degree of dryness. This means that the appliance uses less energy, and your washing comes out of the dryer without creases.
In addition, you can use the app on your smartphone or tablet to flexibly define when your Home Connect dryer from Bosch, Siemens, Gaggenau and Neff, or another home appliance brand, starts its work. The smart dryer adapts to your daily schedule, not the other way round.

IntelligentDry
IntelligentDry enables communication between Home Connect washing machine and dryer. The dryer automatically receives all relevant data (i.e. load, program or moisture) of the last washing cycle from the washing machine and proposes the best fitting drying program and option setting via Home Connect.

Smart Dry sends the settings of the last washing programme to your dryer and chooses the appropriate drying programme automatically. A network of sensors constantly measure the temperature and humidity inside the drum. There’s also an intelligent setting that for reducing wrinkles. So, you can place clothes directly into your wardrobe – no ironing needed.

Analysis and service via remote diagnostics
If your dryer is not running as smoothly as it normally does, simply call the Home Connect hotline and you will be connected directly to customer service.
With your permission, the engineers can access your dryer online and start remote diagnostics. Usually, the error message can be retrieved, and the problem gets solved right away. And if you do need on-site support, this remote diagnostic data allows the engineer to arrive prepared for maintenance tasks or repairs on your appliance. This saves you both time and money.
