Ever been to the supermarket on an empty stomach? Or does your weekly shopping grow out of proportion on a regular basis? Oh, you’re one of those who likes to stand in front of the shelves wondering where you left that shopping list? Our Home Connect kitchen ideas and shopping hacks are here to help you out. Whether it’s the ideal temperature setting in your smart fridge or the live status of its contents, you can now be sure to tick one thing off your list: shopping stress.
Chill to the max
Freezer ready groceries should be frozen to the core quickly to keep both vitamins and flavor. This can be done with Super Freeze, an option that prevents an increase in temperature inside the freezer after you’ve stocked it. So while you’re standing in line at the supermarket or waiting for the shopping delivery, you might as well conveniently enable the corresponding setting.
The same goes for your other groceries. Activating Super Cool will maximize cooling inside your fridge so it can manage large amounts of food more easily. This also comes in handy when you need to cool a lot of drinks at the same time. Sure, you can throw the tonic water in the freezer or your beers in an ice tub like it’s the 90ies. But we think this decade should be limited to your party playlist.
Super easy to find
Both features can be found in your appliance’s Control section. Enter the corresponding temperature setting and tick the Super Cool or Super Freeze option just below the big circle. As this super boost is only temporary, it will deactivate once the cooling standard for your smart refrigerator is met. If you want to change the temperature setting permanently, simply swipe around the circle until your preferred temperature is indicated.
Fridge selfies are a thing now
We agree, there are a lot of great apps to manage your shopping lists. But wouldn’t it be much smarter if you didn’t have to put anything down on a list in the first place? Activate Camera in the Fridge app section in your Settings and your refrigerator will take a shot of its precious contents each time you close the door. This way you will always know what to get on your way home. And what time exactly that last piece of cake magically disappeared.
