It’s not always clear what setting or temperature your dishes should be when they go in the oven, or even when they are finished cooking. Getting the perfect result every time
Home Connect’s Dishes (Siemens, Neff) and Assist (Bosch) section contains loads of specially designed cooking programs for smart kitchen, predefined to achieve perfect results. This means no matter what you cook, you can be sure that when it goes into the oven it will come out perfectly cooked - and if you still want to make something more “well done” or brown you can simply continue cooking. Click on the oven appliance in the app then select the Dishes* tab in the top section. Here you can select Dish, then scroll or search to find the right program. Once you’ve decided, Home Connect will automatically suggest a temperature and duration, special feature or even sensor – depending on your oven. Select Done and put your feet up. The program will run its course, then turn the oven's heating functions off automatically (and even send you a useful notification).
Meat magnificence
No matter how experienced a chef you are, there’ll always be a way to improve your skills. If you have a Meatprobe, it will work seamlessly with the Dishes function and ensure meat is cooked just the way you like it. For stewed dishes or pot-roasted meals where the meatprobe can’t be used, you’ll find suitable programs too. If your oven has a Steam function there are also programs to cook Stuffed whole chicken, Veal and Lamb. With a combined Microwave function your oven can even cook chicken in only 50% of normal cooking time! That’s some seriously fast flavour.
Muffin and cake magic with the baking sensor
As any baker will tell you, making a good cake is as much science as it is art. Thankfully the Dishes function can be your lab assistant, offering a large variety of options for cakes. If your oven has a Baking sensor, the temperature and time setting of these programs are controlled and will measure exactly when your cake is done. To use this function press Control, select the Dishes tab, then click on Select dish. Here search for Cakes in tins, Cakes on baking trays or Muffins. With this program your cakes should always come out the oven firm, with a soft sugary inside.
