Enabling remote functionality
One of Home Connect’s most useful features is the ability to control your appliances no matter where you are. With Remote Start enabled you can launch wash and smart dryer programs straight from the app. In addition to this Home Connect also tells you whether the program is pre-washing, washing or spinning and even when it’s finished. This is particularly useful if you have machines in the basement or a different bit of the house! With everything now controlled and viewable via the app you can be anywhere, but know exactly what’s happening with your washing.
Push it real good
In a hurry to get that washing? Activate push notifications to tell you when your load is done! To do this, click the profile icon at the top of your Home menu. Here you’ll see a menu that includes Notification settings, and lets you activate them for each of your appliances. With program end notifications switched on for your Washing machine and Dryer, Home Connect will send you a handy notification when finished, faster than you can say ‘spin cycle’.
Timing is everything
If you’re planning to go out and need your washing done when you’re back, Home Connect has a useful timer function called Delayed Operation. Under the Control section you’ll see the suggested running time for your chosen program, usually shown with a target finishing time. Here you can choose a time you want your washing cycle to be finished by, simply slide along the bar until the end time matches your preferences. Going out for the day? Simply set it for when you come back. This way you can easily get washing finished when you’re ready to put it out.
Crystal clarity
Want to find more useful information about your appliance and its features? The user manual is also accessible in the app. Under your washing machine or dryer appliance simply click Instructions for use and you’ll be taken to a full manual for your device. Also handy if you ever lose a copy of the paper one!
