Smart home apps do smart teamwork: Home Connect & SmartThings

Great minds think alike. This is why Home Connect has partnered up with SmartThings to let you operate your smart home appliances along with a large variety of smart home products and services like voice assistants, smart speakers, lighting systems, and more, all in one single digital platform.

Integrated functionality includes selecting, starting, stopping, pausing, and resuming programs. What’s more, you can combine your home appliances with other smart devices to create automations and routines. Not a morning person? How about getting your cappuccino from your Bosch coffee machine while your Philips Hue smart bulb takes care of the right lighting, and your smart thermostat sets the ideal room temperature to kick-start your day? That’s what we call an efficient morning routine.

Initially, SmartThings will feature home appliances with Home Connect in six product categories: washing machines, dryers, washer-dryers, coffee makers, dishwashers, and ovens. These will offer a wide range of possibilities to enhance everyday life, from monitoring the status of your appliances to controlling them. But this is just the beginning.
